 Our Therapy Process (The Short Version)


We keep it simple:

  1. You show up as you are. Messy, anxious, burned out, curious, pissed off — whatever.
  2. We listen like humans, not robots. No clipboard clichés. No slow nods and “Mmm, how does that make you feel?” unless it actually matters.
  3. We mix compassion with real talk. Sometimes you need a soft landing. Sometimes you need someone to lovingly call out your bullshit. We do both.
  4. We give you tools that actually work. No five-page self-care checklists. Think: boundary scripts, nervous system resets, and practical shifts you can use in real life.

Our Theoretical Model (The Fancy Words)


If you’re curious about the nerdy part:

  • Trauma-informed: We know that what happened to you shapes how you see the world, but it doesn’t define you.
  • Attachment + relational: Healing happens in safe, honest relationships — and that includes your relationship with your therapist.
  • Parts work + CBT/DBT tools: Sometimes your inner critic needs a seat at the table. Sometimes you just need a strategy to not spiral at 2am.
  • Social justice lens: We don’t pathologize you for living in a world that’s often stacked against you.

Translation? We use what works. We adapt to you, not the other way around.

  • LGBTQ+ affirming. Whoever you are, whoever you love, however you identify — you belong here. Period.
  • Social justice. We don’t “stay neutral” about oppression, racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, or ableism. Your mental health doesn’t exist in a vacuum — and we honor that.
  • Safe space for exploration. Questioning your identity? Untangling family messages? Processing faith shifts or culture clash? This is your sandbox. Explore without judgment.
  • Humor + humanity. Healing doesn’t have to be sterile. Sometimes the most therapeutic thing is laughing in the middle of the chaos.


 Affordability + Access (Because Mental Health Care Shouldn’t Be a Luxury)


We believe therapy should be accessible without compromising quality.

  • Our cash rate is straightforward, no hidden nonsense. You know what you’re paying for and why.
  • We also offer sessions with counseling interns at a reduced rate. Why? Because everyone deserves support, not just the people with platinum insurance plans. Our interns are closely supervised, passionate, and bring fresh perspectives to the work.

Mental health care should never be out of reach. We’re committed to making sure cost isn’t the barrier that keeps you from getting the help you deserve.
